Eliminating the hazard is at the top of OSHA’s hierarchy of controls. Controlling dust in the cleaning room is a team effort that requires the involvement of many departments and disciplines. Beginning in the core room, and with pattern design, changes can be made to reduce the need for grinding castings, thereby reducing dust levels in the cleaning room.
